Disability Intermediaries Australia (DIA) is pleased to announce that Sam Paior, Claire Wittwer-Smith and Yvette (Evie) Naufal have been elected to the DIA Board and will join the existing Board members of Julie Keene (Chair), Elisa James and Billy Kang.
Sam, Claire and Evie were elected at DIA’s recent AGM and bring substantial intermediary experience, service and dedication to DIA.
DIA Board Chair, Mrs Julie Keene congratulated Sam, Claire and Evie won their election saying;
“We are pleased to welcome Claire to the DIA Board and welcome back Sam and Evie as elected Directors. The skills and experience of all three will be very beneficial for our future”.
Dougie Herd retired from his position on the Board and did not seek re-election.
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Dougie for his Insightful, witty and invaluable contribution during his time as a director”, Julie said.
On their election,
Sam Paior said:
“I believe that as intermediaries we need to work to lift standards across our industry, gain clear and reasonable guidelines from the NDIA, and to support each other in growth to improve outcomes for all those we serve, while maintaining sustainable businesses”.
Claire Wittwer-Smith said:
“I am passionate about ensuring people with a disability maximise choice and control and be empowered in their lives. The intermediaries sector is crucial to the success of empowerment for people with a disability in the NDIS. I am excited to be a part of a peak body that aspires to create an intermediaries sector that brings this to NDIS participants lives”.
Evie Naufal Said;
“I’m a firm believer in the power of intermediaries to help us realise the potential of the NDIS. My vision is for DIA to be a an organisation that is equally agile, participant-focused and capacity building as the sector it represents”.
Having been elected Sam, Claire and Evie all attended DIA’s December Board Meeting.
