2021-2022 ANNUAL PRICE REVIEW HAS COMMENCED
After a period of re-alignment to move the Annual Price Review (APR) cycle to be inline with the financial year, the 2021-22 annual price review has commenced with the release of the Terms of Reference and the timetable of Key Dates. Subsequent changes to price limits stemming from this APR will take effect from 1 July 2022.
The APR will follow a similar process to those of the past with the following key topic areas being examined:
- NDIS Disability Support Worker Cost Model assumptions and methodology
- group-based supports
- temporary transformation payments
- therapy and nursing supports
- support coordination and plan management
- regional, remote and very remote price limit loadings
- price controls by state and territory, where economic trends may be countercyclical to trends in other states and territories.
Of particular interest to DIA members is the inclusion of support coordination and plan management with the Terms of Reference stating:
Review the pricing arrangements for support coordination and plan management to encourage innovation, improve quality of service and ensure value for money.
Although the full Issues Paper is yet to be released, DIA has been preparing background information and analysis in anticipation of preparing a thorough submission regarding plan management and support coordination price settings.
DIA will be active participants in the the consultation process run by the NDIA and will also be engaging with our members throughout the APR consultation timetable. As more information and details are released, DIA will be updating our members and the broader disability community to facilitate the maximum possible consultation during this APR and subsequent pricing arrangements.
